Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Constrings.
The App
Constrings is a native macOS application distributed through the Mac App Store. Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to Mac App Store software.
You may use Constrings for personal or commercial purposes on Macs you own or control, signed in with your Apple Account, subject to Apple's device rules.
Purchases & Pro Access
Constrings offers one commercial entitlement, Pro Access, available as an auto-renewing annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see or store your payment details.
US reference prices are US$99 per year and US$249 one-time. Apple may present different regional prices and applicable taxes outside the US storefront. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple Account settings.
Free Tier & Paused State
The Free tier is limited to one app, three languages per app, one market country per app, and ten active keywords per app. If a lapsed subscription leaves your library above these limits, the workspace enters a read-only Paused state: browsing, inspecting, deleting, and CSV export keep working, while creating, importing, pulling, saving, and refreshing pause until you unlock Pro again or reduce the library below the limits. Your data is never deleted by a lapse.
Your Data
Everything you create in Constrings belongs to you. Your library is stored locally on your Mac as plain JSON inside the app's container. We have no servers, no accounts, and no copy of your data.
Because your data lives entirely on your device, backups are your responsibility. We recommend Time Machine or another backup solution that covers the app's container. We are not liable for data loss caused by hardware failure, deletion, or corruption.
App Store Connect Access
Pulling and saving metadata requires your own App Store Connect API key. The P8 private key is stored in the macOS Keychain and used only to talk to Apple's App Store Connect API from your Mac. You are responsible for the key's scope and for keeping your Apple developer account in good standing.
Constrings saves metadata drafts only. It never submits versions for App Review, never uploads builds, and never changes pricing or availability.
Third-Party Services
Constrings talks to Apple services only: the App Store Connect API (metadata pull and save), Apple's public iTunes Search and Lookup endpoints (keyword ranks and listings), and StoreKit (purchases). Each is governed by Apple's own terms. No analytics or telemetry services are embedded in the app.
Disclaimer
Constrings is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. App Store rankings, metadata rules, and Apple endpoints can change at any time and are outside our control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software, including outcomes of App Store metadata changes you save.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds follow Apple's refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly, but if something went wrong we still want to hear about it.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Constrings after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
