Constrings is designed around a local-first App Store metadata workflow for developers working on a Mac.

Local-first app data

Constrings stores its app library locally on your Mac under ~/Library/Application Support/Constrings/. That local library can include app records, per-app metadata files, icon cache data, Markets keyword snapshots, and App Store Connect save audit records.

App Store Connect credentials

App Store Connect private key material is stored in the macOS Keychain. Non-secret connection metadata may be stored locally so the app can show connection state. JWTs are minted on-device and held in memory.

Network use

Constrings connects to api.appstoreconnect.apple.com when you import, pull, or save metadata drafts. It connects to itunes.apple.com when you search the public App Store or refresh Markets keywords.

Website analytics

This static marketing website does not include Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, tracking pixels, or other analytics scripts by default.
